The $700m Statewide Mental Health Infrastructure Program(SWMHIP) was established in 2019 to support key mental health reforms. The program involved providing approximately 600 new or replacement beds across multiple sites within NSW, increased/new capacity for service types and changes to design to allow improvements in service delivery models.

In addition, several sub-programs provided minor works enhancements to existingfacilities around the state.
Johnstaff were engaged as the Program Manager to develop the governance process and program controls, provide governance reporting, initiate projects and manage the overall delivery of the projects by the separate project teams.
The role included management of cost and time, developing standard guidelines, and business case templates, developing and confirming project scope, managing project approvals through governance and monitoring progress and outcomes.
