The Victorian Government is building or transforming new and existing residential aged care facilities that better meet community expectations and promote resident independence, dignity and mental health.

This new facility replaced the former Glenview Centre in Rutherglen. It delivered 50 residential aged care beds, giving residents their own rooms with private ensuites, open area views and natural light.

It is designed to support a range of complex care and mobility needs, including for those living with dementia. It has landscaped gardens and terraces, together with a range of common areas for socialising and activities.

The development also includes an integrated allied health facility incorporating GP, physiotherapy, podiatry and other community health programs.

Johnstaff was engaged by the Victorian Health Building Authority to provide project management and advisory services during the design and construction phases.

Johnstaff worked closely with the Victorian Health Building Authority to collaborate and manage issues throughout the lifespan of the project, engaging across multiple stakeholders including Glenview Health, ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, Zauner Construction, and government departments, to ensure the project was delivered to scope, on time and on budget.
