The Victorian Government is building or transforming new and existing residential aged care facilities that better meet community expectations and promote resident independence, dignity and mental health.

This new residential aged care facility replaced the former Merindah Lodge, located on South West Healthcare’s Camperdown campus.

The development includes 36 single bedrooms with private ensuites, open area views and natural light. It is designed to support a range of complex care and mobility needs, including for residents living with dementia.

Johnstaff was engaged by the Victorian Health Building Authority to provide project management and advisory services during the design and construction phases.

Johnstaff worked closely with the Victorian Health Building Authority to collaborate and manage issues throughout the lifespan of the project, engaging across multiple stakeholders including South West Healthcare, ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, Nicholson Construction, and government departments, to ensure the project was delivered to scope, on time and on budget.
