Importantly, Johnstaff Projects is unlike many firms who seek to drive personal profit by extending contract lengths. Rather, we set our fee up front as a percentage of an agreed construction cost determined by a quantity surveyor. From the outset our clients know our final management fee enabling us to select the most efficient contractors to complete the work.

We know how to maximise value for money on trade contracts, enabling us to pass trade savings back to our clients. Typically 90% per cent of total works would be subject to competitive tenders, with contracts to be prepared and managed by Johnstaff Projects. Central handling means we eliminate unnecessary costs keeping the pressure on product delivery.

We tailor our procurement strategy to client objectives, we manage interfacing between trade contractors and your business activities. Johnstaff Projects' Construction Management group services all industries, particularly, health, pharmaceutical, laboratories and biotech; commercial and office fitout and refurbishment; factory development; hotel refurbishment and redevelopment.

Our previous successes include:

MCRI – $10M Infrastructure Upgrade
Johnstaff Projects has recently completed the upgrade and infrastructure works for Murdoch Childrens Research Institute including a PC3 Laboratory and Installation of a MRI machine.  The office fitout works including refurbishment to laboratories and biotechnical research facilities has also been completed. 

Givaudan, Baulkham Hills
The company has recently achieved Practical Completion of laboratory and associated support offices in Baulkham Hillls, NSW.  Givaudan is a leading manufacturer of perfumes and fragrances and required a fastrack approach to achieve the design and construction of its new expanded facilities in Baulkham Hills.

St Vincent's and Mercy Private hospitals - $30 million
Johnstaff Projects addressed the challenge of ensuring business continuity amidst construction with the implementation of a complex staging programme. This entailed sustaining excellent levels of communication amongst hospital staff and developing specialised infection control protocols to protect against patient risk from construction activities.

Department of Primary Industries - $10 million
Johnstaff Projects adopted the role of cultural change manager to help relocate more than 600 widely dispersed staff into one central building located at One Spring St, Melbourne. This involved the development of comprehensive communication and transition plans to control user consultation and industrial issues.
