Roles and Responsibilities
Johnstaff Projects (JPPL) was engaged to provide technical expertise and resources to assist BMA complete several key projects in the Central Queensland coalfields. The most significant project was the development of the Poitrel Coal Mine infrastructure, a green field site approximately 45 minutes drive from Moranbah. The BMA capital cost on this project was in the order of $100 million. Commissioning of the mine commenced less than twelve months after board approval had been granted. The associated works were completed with an excellent safety record, on time and under budget.
Johnstaff Projects has also been appointed Project and Construction Managers for the $21 million Saraji Creek Diversion project, a project that is now nearing completion. The project has been executed with an excellent safety record and is currently well under the agreed budget for the works.
Johnstaff Projects is currently providing engineering and technical support as well as construction management on the $30 million Gregory Crinum overland conveyor relocation project.
